This listing is for a lovely 19th C. antique Chinese blue and white tea bowl or handleless cup, signed on base.
Measures 2 1/4" high with a top diameter of 2 3/4" and base diameter of 1 1/2"
.
This nice cup has a raised unglazed bottom rim with recessed base marked with four calligraphy markings with double blue ring above. We are unfamiliar with the markings, however, it is clearly applied in under glaze blue paint.
This nice cup is in excellent condition commensurate with age. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
We are not experts in Asian antiques so we can not date this piece accurately, however, we do believe it to be mid-19th Century. Should you have any questions, please email and we will address each concern to the best of our ability.
