  • Condition: Excellent overall vint cond: There are a few minor scuffs on one section of the porcelain bowl's top gilded, gold lined rim. The base of the bowl also doesn't sit perfectly flat on the ornately carved rosewood stand, but still can be displayed resting on the base. This no doubt is a result of the rosewood drying out over time & slightly shrinking. This was how the bowl & the rosewood base were found in the estate, together & for all conceivable purposes, were always together as a set. It's stamped on the bottom in red ink 'Decorated in Hong Kong,' lending evidence that this spectacular & lg, 14" in diameter, hand decorated vint Chinese Famille Rose Medallion porcelain punch bowl is an early 20th c piece & not a much earlier 19th c piece. It's however, in remarkable, very well-preserved overall orig vint cond, w/nary a scratch on it & without any hairline cracks, flea-bites to any of its edges, glaze flaking or image loss. Magnificent & unmitigatedly, simply, incredibly gorgeous. Clean.
