  • Condition: Fair-Good overall antique cond: This now over 240-275 yr old Chinese antique prcln cer bowl has a tight, barely noticeable hairline crack or fracture in the glz. It runs the length of the sloped sidewall & occurs on both sides of the bowl. The scalloped bowl's upper edges, as well as the outer margins of the raised, cleated baseplate, are free of flea-bites, cer loss or other damage. There appears to be some embedded drkr spotting on 1 side of the sm int basin, most lkly as a result of the firing process. The bowl's completely hnd dec & has a hnd pntd box signature on the baseplate in cursive Chinese calligraphy. Not perfect but still an early, very lovely antique pc of Chinese whl-thrwn & hnd dec 18th c prcln art pottery & cer art. Imagine, someone used to eat rice out of such a magnificent dec object. W/repeating hnd pntd floral motif & fnly pntd thin linear contouring. The ext of the bowl's decrtd, as well as its magnificent int. There are no stains, utensil marks or scratches. Nice
