antique porcelain ceramic bowl
has a

. It runs the length of the sloped sidewall and occurs on both sides of the bowl. The scalloped bowl's upper edges, as well as the outer margins of the raised, cleated baseplate, are free of flea-bites, ceramic loss or other damage. There appears to be some embedded darker spotting on one side of the small interior basin, most likely as a result of the firing process. The bowl is completely hand decorated and has a hand painted box signature on the baseplate in

calligraphy.
The bowl is not perfect but is still an early, very lovely antique piece of

wheel-thrown and hand decorated, early to mid 18th century
porcelain art pottery and ceramic art.
Imagine, someone used to eat rice out of such a magnificent decorative object. With repeating hand painted floral motif and finely painted thin linear contouring. The exterior of the bowl is hand decorated as well as its magnificent interior. There are no stains, utensil marks or scratches, inside or out. Lovely.
CONDITION:
Fair to Good overall antique condition.
